The pattern was enlarged to show additional detail and is not to scale. Computer resizing may cause some patterns to appear “fuzzy” on screen. This does not happen when pattern is etched. The size of image displayed on previous page is .28% larger than actual size for easy viewing on different size monitors and represents actual etched pattern.
Etched Patterns are created after the glass has been coated with dichroic. Patterns are etched on Thin (1.5 to 2mm), 90 or 96 COE, Black or Clear base glass with your choice of 6 Dichroic colors.
In some patterns, dichroic is removed to make the pattern, leaving the design outlined in dichroic. To form other patterns, or create a reversed pattern, dichroic is removed from around the design so the pattern remains dichroic. Etched patterns have crisp, clear edges, adding interest and impact to your creations.
Background Etched Patterns are tight, repetitive and excellent for jewelry or accents.
Individual Etched Patterns can be used as a centerpiece for pendants or larger art work. Most Individual Patterns are available in your choice of two standard sizes, Pendant and Earring. All patterns are spaced to allow cutting room. Choice of pattern size is offered where available.
Each Pendant size pattern is about three fourths inch (+/-3/4” x 3/4”) depending on pattern. There are 16 Pendants on each 4” x 4” piece of glass.
Earring size patterns are about three eights inch (+/-3/8” x 3/8”) each. A 4”x 4” piece of glass has 32 to 64 earring size patterns, depending on the pattern. Compact patterns, like a single flower, yield 64 patterns per 4” x 4”. Longer, narrow patterns usually yield 32 patterns per 4” x 4”.
You can combine 2, 3 or 4 patterns on one 8” x 8” piece of glass! Please make note of the patterns you like and see our Item #01 COMBINATION for more information.
Most Individual patterns can be made larger to suit your design needs. Single or Multiple patterns are available on a 16” x 16” piece of glass by special order. Please use our Contact page to request additional information. (Special orders may take 4 to 6 weeks for completion.)
Patterns are etched when ordered. Please allow 2 weeks for completion of work plus 3 to 5 days for delivery by UPS or Priority Mail. Thanks!
